HAUT-BARR CASTLE
Built in the 16th century on three rock pinnacles, this fortified castle, called "the Eye of Alsace", offers a breathtaking view over the Plain of Alsace.

CHAPPE TELEGRAPH TOWER AND MUSEUM
Close to the Haut-Barr Castle it is part of and old telegraph system which linked Paris and Strasbourg between 1798 and 1852.

EGLISE NOTRE-DAME DE LA NATIVITÉ À SAVERNE
This church has a magnificant Romanesque bell tower dating from the 12th/14th centuries. The windows, the nave with its decorated arches, and several remarkable statues, are all worth a visit.

RECOLLETS FRANCISCAN CLOISTERS
One of the most beautilul cloisters in Alsace, attached to the Récollets Church built in 1303.

ABBEY OF ST JEAN THE BAPTIST AT ST JEAN-SAVERNE
This ancient 12th century abbey, situated on the Alsace medieval route, houses an exceptional collection of tapestries from the 16th century, which can be seen by pre-arrangement.

FRESCOS IN PRINTZHEIM CHURCH
Traces remarkable paintings can be seen in the ancient chancel OF this neo-romanesque church.
While walking in the forest, Sainte Barbe Chapel in Ottersthal and Saint-Michel Chapel in Saint-Jean-Saverne are both worth a visit.
